How the numbers work
The counts come from the box mix movers typically hand out for each home size. An average 2 bedroom home runs about 46 boxes: 16 small for books and heavy items, 20 medium for kitchen and general use, 10 large for bedding and light bulky things.
The furnished level scales the whole mix: lightly furnished counts three quarters of the standard mix, fully furnished counts a quarter more. When in doubt, order one extra bundle of mediums. Medium boxes run out first in almost every move, and returns are easier than a mid-move store run.
